EFL303
The new EFL303 from EP is a 3-tonne electric forklift with a single purpose: replacing diesel yard trucks. It has the same low price, tough chassis and tested components - but in place of the diesel engine, there's just a Lithium-ion battery and silent electric motors.
Available with a range of cutting-edge LFP batteries, EFL303 can operate for between three and six hours per charge; recharging in around half the time. Developed inhouse by EP, the battery is maintenance-free, emissions-free and impact-safe. It is also very efficient, consuming around 30% less energy than an equivalent lead-acid battery. Charge status and other operating information is displayed on a large full-colour LCD screen in the cabin.
As standard, EFL303 comes with a 4.5-metre triplex container mast, offering all the functionality required for yard work - freelift for unloading shipping containers, tilt and sideshift for unloading trucks, and a wide field of view for safety. The truck can be operated outdoors in any weather, on uneven terrain, and gradients up to 15% for the base model, or 25% for the high-power 'S' specification.
The latest iteration of EP's blockbuster EFL series, EFL303 is a smart solution for Kiwi companies looking to cut costs and go green. Available under a range of ownership models including outright purchase, lease and lease-to-own, it is backed by a two-year EP warranty.
