Simpro's new Crate Wizard 3 is an innovative handling solution for bread-crates, as widely used in bakeries and bread distribution. It features electrically-operated clamping arms known as 'BearPaws', which grip the sides of the crates and can be clamped or released at any height. This allows crates to be stacked, de-stacked, moved, stored or loaded onto trucks with unprecedented speed and efficiency.
The Crate Wizard's reliable battery-hydraulic system does all the lifting, allowing one person to effortlessly handle stacks of crates weighing up to 200kg, while also eliminating a serious manual handling hazard. Other safety improvements include an intrinsically failsafe clamp design which reduces the risk of dropping or unintentionally releasing crates, stack-height and max-weight limiters, a prominent E-stop button and a safety sounder.
Operators can use simple visual indicators to to collect the desired number of crates, or engage the auto-height mode to instantly move the arms to the precise height needed for any given task. This allows skilled Crate Wizard operators to achieve a productivity factor many times higher than traditional manual handling methods.
The Crate Wizard is easy to move and use, but very rugged and built to withstand years of rough handling. Like all Simpro products, it is designed to be maintenance-free and exceptionally reliable.
